Welcome

My motivation to paint relates to observing my environment. I enjoy observing people. People in need and anxious,as well as happy and fortunate. Animated by such observations, I chose the subject of my artistic delibaration. In this way I start a dialogue with my work, an analytical process, which is harmonized with the chosen theme.

The process of visualizing of ideas, the feelings and intellectual conflicts that arise while I work, as well as making the attempted metamorphoses visually accessible, is for me not only a creative, but deeply satisfying aspect of my work.

The style I employ is variable and depends on the theme I am working on. I use my technical skills in order to do justice to the chosen theme. In order to be successful in this, I need to utilize techniques adapted from the old masters. However, I may just as well decide to use techniques derived from my own experimentations.

My preference for a surrealistic expression, wrapped in philosophy, is intended to make people think. I feel that the adventure of painting will open up new frontiers for the senses through work with the available material. Therefore painting, to me, means getting closer to uncovering a secret.
